BETTER PHOTOGRAPHY is India’s most widely read magazine on the art and practice of photography.
It is also the leading technical authority, with its own test bench, buyer’s guides, annual product awards, and how-to resource for beginners, avid enthusiasts and professionals.
Apart from gear and accessory reviews, the magazine also contains tutorials and techniques, assignment and subject related stories, a special cellphone photography segment, tips and tricks, Q&As, critiques, a history segment, interviews with legendary photographers, a section entitled ‘Great Masters’, special features, a showcase of the best images from the mainstream media and readers’ galleries.
BETTER PHOTOGRAPHY also conducts two of India’s largest annual photography contests. Open to non-professional photographers, the Photographer of the Year Awards 2012 has seen over 70,000 entries from all over the country. The Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards, although limited to participation from India, is possibly the biggest of its kind in the world with over 22,000 entries by professional wedding photographers in the 2012 edition. The magazine also conducts numerous public and corporate workshops on photography, and free to attend slideshows and talks with eminent photographers, all year round.
Now into its 16th year of publishing, the magazine launched its first local language edition in Hindi in 2011.
