“The 2019 TIPA World Awards were chosen at our General Assembly held in Bangkok, Thailand in March by a committee composed of leading worldwide photo publications. There, members gathered to review and discuss what was new: two completely new camera systems, a new lens mount alliance, and many great new lenses and accessories that had been brought to market.” Gerwers emphasized that the changes in product, technology and innovation are closely followed by TIPA and that the 40 product award categories are changed and adjusted accordingly.
Worldwide Coverage
Aside from appearing in all TIPA member publications and other photo and imaging related trade, professional and consumer press, the 2019 TIPA World Awards news was flashed around the world in many different languages via independent photo community web sites. Recipients posted the news on their own sites, including Facebook and Twitter feeds in both regional and international markets, highlighting the award citation and their pride in the achievement.
Said Gerwers, “The coverage and attention paid to the TIPA World Awards once again highlights the importance of the awards to the photo community and industry and reinforces how influential they are in helping consumers make their photo and imaging equipment buying decisions. The TIPA World Award presents companies with many opportunities to enhance their marketing message. Most recipients use the TIPA World Award logo and TIPA citations in press materials they distribute throughout their public relations channels, in their advertisements, at trade shows, and even on specific product packaging.”
Being chosen by photo magazine editors from around the world, the TIPA World Award is universally recognized as designating high quality photo and imaging products. The TIPA World Award serves as an important benchmark for the industry and for amateur, enthusiast and professional photographers around the world.
Gerwers closed his remarks prior to the award presentations by acknowledging the work and efforts of the gathered industry leaders. “Congratulations to all of you and your teams for your achievements. Let’s continue our cooperation to develop the photo and imaging market worldwide. We all know that is not an easy task but together we will be able to succeed.”
