TIPA Celebrates a Successful Awards Ceremony
Madrid, 10 June 2009 – The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) successfully celebrated its 19メth TIPA Awards ceremony sponsored by Koelnmesse at the stunning Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg near Cologne, Germany. Representatives of the 26 winning companies were present to receive the prestigious TIPA Award trophies for the 40 awarded products this year.
The TIPA Awards 2009 were voted on by the editors of the member magazines at the associationメs last General Assembly on 2 April 2009 in Budapest. When awarding products, TIPA takes into account innovation, ergonomics, design, ease-of-use, efficiency, price/performance ratio and other guidelines. The award categories vary from D-SLR to compact cameras, from printers to software, as well as from scanners and photo kiosks to professional lighting systems. The blue TIPA Awards logo has achieved great international recognition and prestige. The TIPA Awards are considered the most coveted photo & imaging awards.

Mr. Markus Oster, Koelnmesse Vice President of Communication & Media, was present to address the attendees. In addition, Mr. Rainer Schmidt of the German Photo Industry Association was specially recognized for his great support of TIPA throughout the years and was presented with a TIPA trophy.
