TIPA exhibits award-winning products at photokina

Madrid, 15 September 2008 – The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) announces a special exhibit of the winning products from the XVIII annual TIPA Awards at this year’s photokina. Visitors can see all of the 36 products honoured with a TIPA Award, which are considered the most coveted photo and imaging awards. A special informational leaflet portraying all of the winning products and the official jury citations will also be available. The exhibit, in partnership with Koelnmesse, is located at Messe Club, Passageway Halls 3/11, Entry Piazza.

The TIPA Awards 2008 were voted on by the editors of the 27 member magazines at the association’s last General Assembly on 11 April 2008 in Rome. When awarding products, TIPA takes into account innovation, ergonomics, design, ease-of-use, efficiency, price/performance ratio and other guidelines. The award categories vary from D-SLR to compact cameras, from printers to software and from scanners to photo kiosks. The blue TIPA Awards logo has achieved great international recognition and prestige.
