All told the impact of the 2023 TIPA World Awards announcements has a far-reaching impact that drives consumer interest and raises the prestige of winning companies in a wide range of product categories, from cameras to lenses, lighting, software, vlogging accessories, imaging innovations, print-on-demand, and more.

Spreading the News

Immediately following the TIPA Worldwide General Assembly vote on the winning candidates, TIPA staff get busy preparing announcements, product citations, and distribution lists. This year saw the inclusion of many enhanced media resources such as “flash” summations, images, quotes from TIPA members on the winning products, plus specially produced blurbs for a wide variety of mobile and web formats. These are made available via the TIPA website and office to both winning companies and the photo and imaging press. This key element ensured that editors, bloggers, independent newswires, and freelancers could easily and effectively access and spread the news.

The result is an impressive breadth and scope of coverage that reaches all levels of imaging amateurs, enthusiasts, and professional image makers throughout the world. On the amateur side, there was a noted uptick in coverage on the various “rumor” and independent fan sites, such as Fuji Addict, Canon Rumors, fotointern, and Nikonista; on independent and photo-related news blogger sites, such as EPhotozine, Popular Photography, Photonews Canada, and Photoexels; andon image tech and business and retailer sites such as The Tech Outlook (India) Techtimes VN, LinkedIn, and PR Newswire. Add in the news sites and the PR outreach from the winning companies, and the worldwide, multi-language sites from TIPA member magazines, and it’s evident that the TIPA World Awards gain an impressive audience throughout all levels of the photo and imaging community.
